Coastal Scents Palettes Review

Hey my loves!!!

I recieved a request a couple of weeks ago about doing a review on all of my Coastal Scents and ebay palettes (Requested by Orangesierra22) and I had been putting it off because I still hadnt announced my blog and I wanted to post it here. So here it is and thank you for the request I really enjoyed doing this. I learn a couple of this in the process myslef!

Starting off I will mention that the swatches have been done with a Hard Candy Eyeshadow Primer...

The Primer itself isn't very good for priming the eye lid area because it creases but I used it here because it picks up color well and I didnt want to use my Urban Decay Primer Potion for my entire forearm.

Here we have the 88 Warm Palette...

In my opinion this palette is very well put together. It has all of the quailities, shades, tones, amounts of shimmer, matte, and frosted shadows all in one palette for the perfect Neutral/Warm, Daytime/Anytime look.
I would recommend this palette to beginners, warm and neutral shadow lovers and those wanting a palette with more highlights because that it has a lot of.

Going into futher detail about the palette it has one light blue shade on the left side that always catches my attention and makes me wonder why they even put it there! Dont get me wrong I love thqat color but it seems a bit odd. The shadows are soft to the touch and had long staying power and great color payoff. If you us a eyeshadow primer it enhances the whole look and staying power all together.

Bottom Line: Great Palette & Worth the Money

Next is the 88 Matte Palette...

I personally LOVE this palette. The 120 palette will always be my baby and even though this palette only has 88 shadow vs. 120 I tend to use the 88 palette a whole lot more now because it has colors that are similar to the 120 but is smaller so its better for me to handle. I know this isn't a comparasion but there's a little on how I personally feel about it.

Ok, so getting down to business if you love/like matte shadows (like me) this is a great palette for you. It's called a Matte palette but the truth is it does have some shimmer shades in it. Although there isn't a ton (I counted about four) its good to know. The shimmer shadow in there are actually pretty gorgeous. Coming from a girl who isn't a fan of shimmer. The shadows are really soft to the touch. Great color payoff and color stay. Not powdery or chalky. Even better with a primer.

I would highly recommend it to people who want to come out of the box and explore with some color because it has some neutral colors too. I would also recommend it to everyone who likes mattes and needs a good palette!

Bottom Line: GREAT Matte Palette & Worth Every Penny

Now moving on the the 88 Shimmer Palette...

I'm not a huge fan but ONLY because I'm not really into to shimmer much. Other then that seeing it for all it can be if I liked shimmer I would have to say It's a beautiful shimmer palette with all the colors in the rainbow and all the shades in between. It has a couple frosty shadows which aren't shimmer. The shadows are super soft and the color payoff is amazing it being a shimmer palette and all. Shimmer shadows tend to be more vibrant. So yes, they are very bold and if you like to stand out this is a palette for you!! This palette is versitile and colorful.

I would highly recommend it to people who like shimmer shadows and also those who like bright colors.

Bottom line: Great Shimmer Palette & Worth the Money

Our next victim is the 88 Metal Mania Palette...

This palette is so cute and unique in so many diffrent ways. This is not a full bright palette, a shimmer palette or a matte palette. It does'nt have gradient rows of colors in order either. That all being said it is all in all an amazing palette from start to finish.

If you like warm colors, if your color shy and want some brights but not completely matte shadows then this is your baby. This palette is metalic and these shadows reflect light beautifully. There is some brights, some neutrals, some highlights and colorful shadow all while being a very wearable palette to create looks from.
These shadow are very pigmented, soft but firm to the touch and the color stay in great aswell as the color payoff. Primer is a plus ofcourse. Not chalky or powdery at all.

Bottom Line: Very Unique Palette, It's Great, & I would buy it again if I had to.

Going on to the 88 Prism Palette...

This palette is mostly a matte palette. It has some shadows with a bit of shimmer to them and also a couple with a hint of sparkle. The slight sparkle shadows is mostly in the blue and green hues.

These shadow are very pigmented and the color stay is great. Primer always helps. These shadows are more firm then any of the other ones but still soft to the touch. Great color payoff but all in all if I wasnt a makeup collector I would have skipped over this one. Especially having the 120 palette. If you have the 120 palette already and only have the money for one 88 palette I would say save that and instead of buying this Prism Palette buy yourself one of the other ones. Trust me you will be upset if you buy this palette and already have the 120. I bought it because like i said I like to collect makeup like many of you out there too and this is one I was missing.

Bottom Line: Good Palette & Worth the Money if you dont have a 120 yet!!

Last but not least the 10 Blush palette...

This palette is a great thing to have in your collection. The size is just right even great to travel with. The shades are pretty diffrent so you get a nice variation. Some shimmer, some mattes, overall a very good balanced blush palette. There is a blush in here for all skin tones!!

Very long color stay and I never use face primer because i dont use foundation, so on its own. Super soft to the touch and GREAT color payoff, very pigmented, and not chalky or powdery.

Bottom Line: Amazing Blush Palette & Worth Every Penny!!
